Loathsome Person, Good Poetry (Free Verse)Dear Diary
No, too cliché…but how,
How on earth,
Do I address an inanimate object where my precious thoughts are stored?
Dear
Stuffit, let’s just start.
It’s Tuesday, and I’m missing him again…
It’s as if he is being torn from me again and again and again,
In an ever-never-forever ending cycle of torment.
Dear diary, I miss him.
I’ve always been good at words, but these days they fail to sum up
The hollow pit my soul has become.
I went to therapy once, twice, a lifetime ago,
And talked about him…but I couldn’t cry.
A millennia ago I cried in church
To the holiest person I know…
But now though tears threaten they don’t come.
I’m a robot with a hole in its circuit board,
A oncehuman,
A broken.
Dearest Darling Diary
Sense the sarcasm?
I still don’t know how to address you
Without sounding freaklike.

Oh whattheheck!
It’s Sunday and I’m pondering life, again,
After a very good ser
Oceans Across (Kyrielle)Oceans Across
8-4-16
Last time you heard the siren’s cry
You thought your ship was doomed to die –
This time you love the siren’s call;
The sea will last above it all.
Some dolphins fly across the sea,
They’re proving that we’re young and free;
We’re free to roam and free to fall –
The sea will last above it all.
Starfish languishing in the pools
With hermit crabs and critters cruel;
For they will fight and they will maul –
The sea will last above it all.
Time’s come for saving what’s been lost,
Despite the ever pending cost;
Whether it roars or creeps or crawls
The sea will last above it all.
As You Were There, So I Hope To Be (Horatian Ode)As You Were There, So I Hope To Be
15-4-16
Once upon a time I need your guidance –
Like once upon a week, upon a day –
And you’re there throughout these circumstances,
With words of fortitude; as is your way.
You sat and held my hand when my tears fell,
You listen to my hopes and dreams and fears.
Kindness personified in all you do,
You’re everything in life I should do well –
Throughout the trials you’ve strengthened all these years –
One day I hope to be a friend like you.
Dog (Limerick)Dog
5-4-16
There once was a spotty brown dog,
Whose gait was incredibly odd.
His height, though not tall,
Was cut off like his balls;
Oh what a poor little sod.
Fierce, Fearsome, Fearless (Pantoum)Fierce, Fearsome, Fearless
11-4-16
Feather’s flap and talons claw,
Eyes are sharp in sight.
Fearsome beaks to act as jaws;
They crow with all their might.
Eyes are sharp in sight,
Beaks of black, or coloured too,
They crow with all their might;
Whether in park or regal zoo.
Beaks of black, or coloured too,
Travelling south to warmer lands.
Whether in park or regal zoo
They live out their days in trees, not sands.
Travelling south to warmer lands,
Fearsome beaks to act as jaws,
They live out their days in trees, not sands,
Feather’s flap and talons claw.
Echoes (Echo Verse)Echoes
23-4-16
I like tea, especially mint,
int,
I find it goes down well,
ell,
Especially when I’m sick,
ick.
Mental (Epigram)Mental
7-4-16
Although you may not see it, my illness is still there,
And pretending that it’s not just truly shows you do not care.
It’s real and it does exist, just like a broken bone,
The only difference is mine isolates and keeps me on my own.
Sonograms (Tanka)Sonograms
10-4-16
I have two photos;
Sonograms actually.
They are all I have
Reminding me of your life;
I’m thankful that I have them.
Consequences of Our Actions (Epic)Consequences of Our Actions
16-4-16
Young James, bold of heart and wise of mind, did venture forth one day,
And by chance did meet a fearsome beast upon his merry way.
Said James ‘I’ll slay thee beast,” and, stepping from his steed,
Did draw his blade and best the beast – ‘twas fair sight indeed.
Upon his journey in the woods, young James did hence commence,
Until he reached his journey’s end – a time for repentance
And quieting of the heart and mind, a time like n’er before –
An open heart, an open mind, and see, an open door.
He pulled his steed up to the trough, and water did it drink,
While our hero went inside, his future on the brink
Of turning out for all his good, or maybe all his bad,
For James was to wed that very day – a thought that made him sad.
Young James stood beside his fiancé, fair in ways and thought,
And realised ‘twas what he wanted most, ‘twas the life he sought.

Bunneh Business (Rondeau)Bunneh Business
2-4-16
Fluffy fur, of colours bold,
Softly sniffing, growing old
Slowly – eating carrots by the bunch;
Orange, green and yellow – munch.
In a hutch with walls like mould
Live live rabbits, never cold,
Because their hutch’s haven sold
Their owners on the comfort of the fold.
Fluffy fur.
Boopy noses, eyes of gold,
Soft of nature, soft to hold,
Loving crispy carrots – crunch –
Just in time for dinner, lunch,
Or even breakfast, truth be told.
Fluffy fur.
Summer's Bubbles (Haiku)Summer's Bubbles
1-4-16
Bubbles float on by.
The sunflowers laugh and smile,
Spilling seeds of fun.
Popping Heaven's Bubblewrap (Pindaric Ode)Popping Heaven’s Bubblewrap
21-4-16
The rain it falls from skies bedecked in grey,
Leaves littering the ground in hues of brown
Those around me, as one body they frown
And show their displeasure and their dismay,
I say to them that now the time is nigh
To dance, naked, under the clouds and sky.
If nakedness is not a thing
Wanted by you, or is not in,
Then perhaps in puddles you might dance;
Leaves twirling with you as if tranced.
For rain, it falls in popping drops;
I hope you like the rain a lot.
The Daily Grind (Triolet)The Daily Grind
22-4-16
I’m so numb, I hardly feel a thing,
But when I do I feel fear, sorrow and pain.
I’m not used to the happiness that emotions bring;
I’m so numb, I hardly feel a thing.
When I do feel sorrow sings
Forth from my veins.
I’m so numb – I hardly feel a thing –
But when I do I feel fear, sorrow and pain.
Leaf Envy (Ballad)Leaf Envy
6-4-16
I tossed you sideways, tossed you around,
Beat you sideways with a spoon.
You were dressed, and like a clown
I thought it was the end – oh fool
Was I! And now I’m left to croon
Over your croutons and meatless means;
What life, what fate so cruel;
You’ve left me with nothing but leafy greens.
You fell, from your bowl onto the ground,
And I picked you up; you laughed, I swooned.
You’re the colour of jealousy; of eyes cast down
And looking at nothing more, than a lifetime’s boon,
Of a life of reaching for the stars and moon;
Of having less to pull at those seams.
Tasting better than Oliver’s gruel,
You’ve left me with nothing but leafy greens.
You may be tasteless, oh how I frown
At losing out on steak and sausage – I drool
Over what I cannot have – I’m bound
By your envious avocado’s and impending doom
On the waist, those fat rolls, like a loon,
Will run for the hills; oh one has dreams!
I
A Brew Fit For a Princess (English Sonnet)A Brew Fit For a Princess
30-4-16
Oh what a mighty brew are you dear tea,
Refreshing far and wide, you make me whole;
People must open up their eyes and see
That you’re a drink that satisfies a soul.
You warm my insides to the very core,
Whether I have you in a cup or mug,
Without your love my life is such a bore –
But with you there it’s like a steamy hug.
It matters not in strainer or in bag,
The only thing that counts is leaves so fresh.
You’re what transforms me from a dry old hag
Into a princess; oh my life you mesh!
Oh tea, I really don’t know what I’d do
If you ran out and I couldn’t drink you.
Metamorphosing MillionMetamorphosing Million
3-4-16
Beautiful creature, you gently greet the day; you’re
Utterly dependent on camouflage for survival.
There is serenity in your serendipitous search for flower-sap;
Truth be told, you’d rather fly the night that the day –
Ever bright like a moth to the flame is a butterfly without torn wings.
Running in the dark times, torn wings can take on many forms;
Fully extended in friendship to the busy bees you
Love to help pollinate those flowers, but still
You’re just one in a million of metamorphosing creatures
Inky (Shape Poem) by MagicalJoey Once Upon a Snow (Ottava Rima)Once Upon a Snow
14-4-16
Oh Snow, with fairest skin of white,
Did for her Charming Prince serenely wait.
The Evil Queen put up a fight,
And changed from her beauty to ugly’s gait
In order to kill Snow, vanquish her from sight.
An apple, the ideal source of bait;
Seven dwarves dug deep for diamonds dear
And when Charming came, they did cheer.
Sudden Loss (Shakespearean Sonnet)Sudden Loss
26-4-16
There was a time when you were meant to be
Born from my heart, upon that day in May,
You were my life – going to set me free –
But then you died on that October day.
Where it was not supposed to be, twas blood
That fell and flew and flowed forth from myself.
And so I prayed to God in He’en above:
“Will you preserve his life, preserve his health?”
The doctor stared at me with frowning face,
“I cannot find a beating heart,” he said.
And so it came to be, that in that place
I learned you weren’t alive; that you were dead.
I wish that you were here, that things were changed;
For you, I’d gladly never be the same.
<da:thumb id="605788590"/> I Love You, My Friend (Kennings Poem)I Love You, My Friend
25-4-26
God fearing,
Prayer saying,
Halo’ed being.
Kind hearted,
Comfort giving,
Advice saying.
Good natured,
Family loving,
Fear destroying.
The Naked Heat (Irregular Ode)The Naked Heat
24-4-16
Summer, you are filled with sun so bright
You tend to hurt my eyes,
But I of course crown it great delight
The day we get to say our fond goodbyes.
I prefer your sister winter, for it is she
Who warms my heart and satisfies my soul,
As sitting cosied up in blankets, to just be,
Is another way of letting me be whole.
You light in me a fire,
A great desire,
To strip down to the barest skin
And dip myself within a swimming pool,
For even though it would be a sin
The nakedness would keep me nice and cool.
Good Days (Cinquain)Good Days
20-4-16
Sunny;
A day so bright
I wonder how it could
Possibly be any better.
Summer.

He was so loved.
So often these days I think of my son.
Whether Weather Wants You (Senryu)Whether Weather Wants You
18-4-16
Clouds are gathering
In a sky darkened by fire;
Blessed rain…come soon.
Assaulted, Abused, But Not Knocked Down (Lyric)Assaulted, Abused, But Not Knocked Down
1-5-16
You used me, abused me,
Lied about my worth.
You licked me, deceived me,
You’re scum upon the earth.
You’re cheesy, make me queasy,
I need to give you a wide berth
Because the money’s not worth the trouble you brought
When you thought you’d caught me in your web of lies.
You assaulted, insulted,
Plied my head with wine.
You caressed and distressed,
I bet you do it all the time.
You were grinding, it’s not binding,
You were full of all the lines;
But the money’s not worth the trouble you brought
When you thought you’d caught me in your web of lies.
You touched too much
And thought you’d push your luck.
You fiddled and twiddled,
And thought that I was up
For making out, and staying in,
But I wasn’t going to fuck
Because the money’s not worth the trouble you brought
When you thought you’d caught me in your web of lies.
I said I’d teach you piano,
But you
<da:thumb id="605788139"/> Me: Mouse and I (Blank Verse)Me; Mouse and I
17-4-16
I started off as quiet as a mouse,
A timid person very meek and mild.
At conversation time I’d run and hide
As social phobia killed my spirit.
I’m still quite timid to this very day,
I’ll sit and watch while others speak with ease –
My life is different now to what I thought
It would be at this age when I was young.
I thought I’d be married, and have a job,
Maybe a kid or two – def’nitly love –
But life has not gone on as I did plan;
I’ve naught but a few friends, no job, no kid,
No one special with whom to share my life,
I am bereft and often quite alone.
I started off as quiet as a mouse,
And quiet as a mouse I still remain.
What Am I? (Riddle)What Am I?
4-4-16
Thought of as weak,
I’m what onions seek to create.
Thought of as bad,
I’m the Sad-Spice from the 90’s music rack.
What am I?

A Lyric for my LoverAn unlikely pair are we,
what odds that I found you or you, me?
A thousand thousand miles apart,
but still your words stole my heart.
Woke it up, if you must know the truth.
I'd given up on love in my youth.
You taught me what love could be,
when you opened your heart to me.
I wanted to believe in nothing,
I certainly never saw this coming.
That I could wake up every day,
happy to be alive in every way.
From the moment you stepped into my life,
and asked me to be your wife.
You taught me what love could be,
when you opened your heart to me.
Your passion shows in all the little things,
good morning kisses, long quiet evenings.
I know that it sounds cliche,
but I see it when you glance my way.
Your eyes light up and then you smile,
that adoring look beguiles.
You taught me what love could be,
when you opened your heart to me.

So in closing I would like to thank everyone who used my prompts, I think that I found all of you. I also want to congratulate each of you on a job well done! It takes alot to stick with something, and I know we didn't all complete our goal but it takes courage to start, so you are courageous! Not only that now you know what you are capable of so keep writing, you won't regret it!
